SPRING 2012 TENNIS PROGRAMS

TENNIS REGISTRATION IN PROGRESS AT THE PARKS ADMINISTRATION OFFICE,  440 W. POWELL ROAD.  OFFICE HOURS 8 A.M. - P.M. MONDAY - FRIDAY.  PHONE 457-2770 

YOUTH TENNIS CLINICS ~ Clinics offered on Monday's & Thursday's at Cox Park.
Season:  March 19th - May 10th (8 weeks)
Levels (Beginner - Intermediate):
Pre-school 4-5 years old - 1:00-1:45 p.m. (TH only)
K-2 Grade: 4:45 - 5:30 p.m. (Monday and/or Thursday)
3rd - 5th Grade: 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. (Monday and/or Thursday)
6th - 12th Grade: 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. (Monday and/or Thursday)
Fees:  $128  (1 day/week) or $256 (2 days/wk)
 

New Program: USTA Team Tennis for Middle School Age contact Tony Cherone at 488-2985 for additional information.


ADULT TENNIS CLINICS ~ Clinics offered at Cox Park Tennis Court Facility.
Season:  March 19th - May 10th (8 weeks)
Levels/Times:
Beginners ~ Monday's, 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. / or Friday's 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Advanced Beginners/ 2.5 level ~ Thursday's, 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. / or Friday's, 12:30 - 1:30 p.m.
Fees: $128 per course level
 

RECREATIONAL TENNIS LEAGUES
Registration: January 30 - March 5
League Fee:  $25 / Late fee: $35 after March 5th!
Season begins:  March 19th (8-9 weeks)
League offerings to be posted January 27th! 



Team Captain Leagues and New USTA 2.0/2.5 players wanting to form a team contact Tony Cherone at 488-2985.

 

 

 

Note: Registration for Adult Recreational Tennis Leagues has been extended thru September 7th. Registration fee $25; $35 after Sept. 7th.  League season: September 12 - November 18.

Register early at the Parks Administration Office/457-2770.

Coach Tony was named Tennessee High School Coach of the Year in 2008 by the United States Professional Tennis Association.


New Award: Coach Tony has been named USTA Tennis Pro of the Year in Tennessee and also received an award for Special Event of the Year from USTA Southern Section.
Way to go Coach Tony!!!
