Hinton Property PDF Print E-mail

The Town of Collierville has acquired 110 acres of land for a remarkable purpose: To improve the quality of life of its citizens by preserving a beautiful landscape and transforming it into an extraordinary public park – one that enhances the site’s natural beauty and fashions a place for the community to gather, interact, and have fun. This property is located on Holmes Road at Fleming Road (click on street address for google map directions).

The Hinton Property Master Plan’s central theme is to capitalize on and enhance the inherent assets of the site – its giant oaks, its vast open spaces, and the diverse experiences available to park users.  It proposes immediate actions that will create an enduring framework for the park’s future, while the landscape matures and the surrounding area expands its residential opportunities.  They include providing access and connections to residential areas via existing and proposed greenways and roads, establishing destinations that offer recreational opportunities not now available in Collierville, and minimizing future maintenance and operating costs.  The Master Plan is intentionally flexible, allowing the Collierville community to incorporate various new park features, activities, and events.
