The Collierville Park System currently has fourteen (14) Community or Neighborhood Parks with approximately 300 acres of parkland, 26 athletic fields, 6 tennis courts, 10.5 miles of greenbelt trials, 12 play structures, and 7 concession/restroom buildings.  As the Town of Collierville has grown, the role of the department maintenance division has changed drastically.  Once relegated to simply caring for park grounds, the division now maintains, not only park acreage, but all public grounds and landscaping with the exception of our Fire Stations, all ROW areas within the town limits, and all street medians.  This division has met these new challenges without sacrificing the quality to which the Citizens of Collierville have grown accustomed.

The Recreation & Sports Division is responsible for the planning, organizing, administering, and supervision of recreational programs, special events, and athletic programs for the Town of Collierville.  This division is also responsible for the operations of the Collierville Community Center.  With over 100,000 participants in the Town’s Park System each year, the Collierville Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Arts Department continues to be a leader in offering its citizens a wide variety of recreational leisure time activities.

The Cultural Arts Division along with the Collierville Arts Council and the Harrell Performing Arts Theatre seek to advance and strengthen community bonds by developing interest in the Arts.  It is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence by producing theatre, music, and dance performances that continue to be an expression of the community’s talents, values, needs, resources, and aspirations.  In 2006, the Harrell Theatre received a record 12 nominations for the Ostranders Awards which recognize excellence in performing arts in the Mid-South.  Also, HPAT set a season attendance record by completely selling out 13 shows for High School Musical.
